Advisory Bodies

EU-NMR has two advisory bodies: the International Evaluation Panel and the
International Science Council.
The membership of the International Evaluation Panel consists of an international
group of well-known researchers in the area of bio-NMR from countries all over Europe
(the International Advisory Board, IAB) and the Directors of the Research Infrastructures
providing access.

The International Evaluation Panel has joint and several responsibilities
with respect to
- Evaluation of the suitability of project proposals for Transnational Access; in this
respect the "International Evaluation Panel" acts as the International User Selection Panel
- Validating the requirements with respect to staff and equipment for executing
the proposal based on the recommendations of the TA subproject committee
and the pre-evaluation panel.
- Advising the Management Council with respect to all matters that affect the current
and future quality and quantity of access for the facilities
the International User Selection Panel
- Periodic evaluation of the performance of the Transnational Access project
and the associated JRAs on behalf of the General Assembly and the Managing Commettee
The International Science Council is composed of representatives of funding agencies
and European organizations that share a responsibility for creating a comprehensive set of RIs for
bio-NMR in the European Research Area. Their advisory role is crucial for the network of RIs to
implement and maintain a networked research infrastructure for bio-NMR in Europe that is second to none worldwide.
